The Magicians returns, this year, with a show-stopping live format and viewer vote, with presenter Darren McMullen.

The first show of six sees magicians Barry and Stuart paired with stars of Outnumbered, Tyger Drew-Honey and Daniel Roche; World Champion of Magic, Latimer, with Strictly Come Dancing’s Flavia Cacace; and comedy magician Pete Firman, joined by Coronation Street and Boyzone’s Keith Duffy.

With more daring, dangerous and mind-blowing magic than ever before, each act performs four tricks – and two are live, so anything could happen. The first show includes a jaw-dropping escape, a spectacular laser routine and an astonishing live stage illusion.

The Magicians will air live on Saturday 7th January 2012 at 6.35pm on BBC 1.

The Magic Circle Christmas Show starts tomorrow, featuring a number of our favourite acts. The show, held at The Magic Circle Venue in London, will include Comedy Pickpocketing from James Freedman “The Man of Steal,” mind blowing magic from Pete Wardell, Duncan Trillo, Mark Shortland, illusions from Jason Steel & Joanne and conducted by Mind Reader Martyn Rowland.

With some of the best magicians in the country lined up for The Magic Circle Christmas Show it is hardly surprising that tickets have completely sold out! With Comedy Pickpocket, James Freedman “The Man of Steal,” Magicians Pete Wardell, Duncan Trillo and Mark Shortland, Illusionists Jason Steel & Joanne and Mind Reader Martyn Rowland, the show is set to be one of the best ever.

Following the huge demand for show,  an extra night of magical entertainment has now been scheduled. Christmas Close-Up at the Circle will star four of The Magic Circle’s finest magicians. This intimate evening of magic features some of the finest exponents of the art, all performing miracles right under your nose using everyday objects and borrowed items.

Audiences will have the opportunity to meet the performers in the interval and after the show and see the exhibits in The Devant Room and around the headquarters.
