A Touch of Magic at Downing Street

The Chancellor of the Exchequer hosted the annual children’s Christmas party at Downing Street on Wednesday and invited a multitude of story book characters, children’s entertainers, clowns, balloon modellers and Father Christmas (with six glittering reindeer!) to entertain his young guests. Magicians co.uk also conjured up some grown-up magical entertainment for the many celebrities and dignitaries who joined the party to support this year’s chosen charity, Every Disabled Child Matters.

Despite policeman on the famous Downing Street doorstep, pickpocket magician James Freedman bumped into the Chancellor and “borrowed” his wallet. Fortunately, top mindreading magician, Martyn Rowland can keep a secret… he refused to tell reporters what the Chancellor was probably thinking!

Every Disabled Child Matters is a campaign by four leading organisations working with disabled children and their families – Contact a Family, Council for Disabled Children, Mencap and the Special Educational Consortium. You can sign up online to get rights and justice for every disabled child by clicking here.
